"Prepare yourself to study a Torah that is not an inheritance" — and in the very same breath, "Torah is the heritage of the congregation of Yaakov." The maamar spends seven sections showing these are not in tension, and closes the entire Tishrei set with the deepest of the three words for how Torah reaches a Jew: not chosen, not given — inherited, the way a son stands in his father's own place.
